NODUSPLAY
Our principles
Last updated: 2026-10-19
NodusPlay wants games to grow with their community, not at its expense. This is what we try to live up to and where you can check it. It is an honest guide, not a contract: if you see us falling short, write to us from the Contact page.
Play without pressure
- We do not ping you to come back. You choose which notifications you get and there is a daily cap. Only moderation and appeal notices cannot be muted, because they tell you about decisions on your account.
- Season titles have high minimums on purpose: if nobody reaches them, they stay vacant.
- Team announcements to the whole community (an outage, maintenance or an important change) are used only for that, never for promotions. An administrator sends them, they expire, and they are logged.
A safe community
You can report profiles and games for harassment, scams, impersonation, malware and other reasons, and block anyone who bothers you. Below we explain what happens to a report.
Fairness for creators
Team picks, trends and badges follow rules we explain below, and nobody can score themselves.
Respect for your data
- We keep what is needed for your account to work. We use a single cookie, essential to keep you signed in.
- Some game pages include YouTube or Vimeo videos; you can turn off their preview in your profile settings.
- You can hide sections of your profile, see and close your sessions, turn on two-step verification and delete your account whenever you want: your data is erased. Details are in the privacy policy.
Visible and limited AI
- Creators declare whether their game uses AI (assisted or generative), you can filter by it, and you can report a game that does not declare it. Machine translation always carries a notice.
- Today no recommendation or sanction is decided by an AI: sanctions are decided by a person on the team and can be appealed. If we ever use AI to help moderate or recommend, we will say so here, and it will never decide a serious sanction on its own.
Accountability
We publish updates in News and you can check the service status on the Status page. The Contact page lets you report bugs and suggest ideas. Actions by team members with powers are logged and can be undone. If we make a mistake that affects the community, we will say so clearly.
What happens when you report
- You can report a profile or a game from its page with “Report”, choosing a reason and, if you like, adding a detail.
- Reports are reviewed by a member of the team. We do not promise a specific timeframe.
- The reported person is not told who reported them.
- If there is a reason, the response goes from less to more: a warning, a mute, a suspension or a ban. Anyone who receives a sanction sees it with its reason.
- Anyone sanctioned can appeal from the Appeal page; the answer arrives with a notice that cannot be muted.
- Every team action is recorded.
How what you see is chosen
- Home carousel: part of it is picked by hand by the team (“Team picks”) and part is automatic and labelled with its group.
- Explore categories: the genres with the most recent activity come first.
- Recognition badges and season titles are granted by automatic rules; “AAA verified” and “Verified” are set by a member of the team.
