NODUSPLAY
Forum rules
Last updated: 2026-10-19
The forum is for talking respectfully about indie games and about making and finding them. These rules add to the Terms of use and to Our principles.
The basics
- Treat other people with respect. You can disagree; insults, harassment and mockery are not welcome.
- No illegal, dangerous or sexually explicit content, and nothing that puts minors at risk. NodusPlay is for people aged 14 or over.
- Do not post other people's personal data, or your own beyond what you want to be public.
- No spam or repeated advertising. Showing your game is fine in its category; filling the forum with links is not.
- Write in the thread's language and set the language correctly when you open one.
- Every message is its author's. If you use text generated with artificial intelligence, say so.
How writing works here
- You need an account with a verified email that is more than 24 hours old.
- You can use bold, italics, lists, quotes and links. Images are not allowed.
- There is a limit of 5 threads a day and 10 messages an hour. New accounts can include at most 2 links per message.
- You can edit your message for 30 minutes and delete it whenever you want.
- Some words and links are not accepted (insults, spam, link shorteners). If your message contains any, when you send it we tell you which ones so you can edit it and send it again; it does not go to review.
- A small automatic check runs when you send, to stop bots. It asks nothing of you and uses no external services.
What the team reviews
- The first 3 messages of a new account (or one that is not yet trusted) are reviewed by a team member before everyone else sees them. You see them, marked as pending. We know it can feel strict, but it is how we keep the forum as free of spam and fake accounts as we can: once those reviews are done, you post directly. We do not promise a specific time.
- You can report any message with "Report". A team member reviews it, never an artificial intelligence, and the reported person does not know who did it.
- The team can hide messages, close or pin threads and move them between categories. If there is a reason, it can warn, mute, suspend or ban, and you can appeal, as in the rest of the site.
- The team's actions are logged.
Notifications
If you follow a thread you will get a bell notification when someone replies (one per thread while you have not read it), within the daily notification cap. You can mute forum notifications in your profile settings. We do not email you about the forum.
